Dr. Steffanie Altenbern, DHSc, CSWA is a seasoned professional of social work with a passion for education, a devotion to serving and elevating vulnerable neighbors, and a commitment to building bridges among resources in her community. She has a deep passion for helping clients with housing security as well as focusing on their economic and workforce development. Steffanie is a Bridges out of Poverty trainer and has trained students and professionals across several states utilizing her expertise with this program. She has been the executive director of Willow Tree Case Management since January 2023.
Maggie is critical to the backbone and operations of Willow Tree. Her decision and contributions into program development, guidance through contractor interviews and extensive experience working with high risk populations is necessary in accountability and oversight for the agency.
Marcie Denney holds a BS in Psychology at Portland State University with a focus in health psychology and social relationships. Marcie is a native Portlander who enjoys spending time outdoors in her garden, hiking, and camping, and quality time with her children and husband. With an authentic and compassionate listening style, she is committed to supporting and meeting clients where they are while providing resources for personal growth and healing.
Amanda Brucki is an LCSW and has extensive experience providing therapy to individuals and groups.
Joshua Rivkin is a compassionate social worker and case manager who holds Clinical Social Work Associate (CSWA) credentials and graduated with his master’s in Social Work at George Fox University. He is deeply committed to authenticity and personalized care, believing that meaningful change begins with genuine connection. Joshua takes the time to truly understand each client’s unique story, challenges, and strengths, creating a foundation of trust and collaboration.
With years of experience navigating the complexities of a fractured system, Joshua has worked and volunteered in numerous homeless shelters and interned at the Crisis Center in Washington County.
Amber Gilbreath-Straub has been a Peer Specialist for 5 years, with over 24 years experience specializing in Mental and Behavioral Health.
On my free time, I enjoy painting, roller skating, writing, and hanging out with my grand children.
My biggest accomplishment, is the amazing humans that call me mom.
My goal is to support individuals in their journeys of becoming the best version of themselves.
Carlos Finnigan is currently in his final year of the Master of
Social Work (MSW) advanced standing program at George Fox
University, a rigorous 8-month program. His major coursework
includes Advanced Clinical Practice, Evidence-Based Practice
Research, Micro Practice with Individuals and Families, and
Advanced General Practicum Seminar I. Before pursuing
graduate studies, Carlos completed a Bachelor of Social Work
(BSW) and previously served in the Army.
Teal Bluestone is a social worker and child therapist who is a 2nd year graduate of studies at George Fox Masters of Social Work program. Teal's previous studies were at Portland State University with an emphasis on Psychology and Dance. Following a Masters Degree in applied psychology in Child and Adolescent Development at Adler University. Prior to this graduate program, Teal worked at the Children’s Center which provides mental health services to children in need in Vancouver, Washington. Teal believes that therapy is an opportunity to take accountability for our actions, learn to re-pattern our nervous systems, and grow stronger from the unbelievable circumstances that life has given us.
